Hayati Olgun, Turkey Hayati Olgun Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hayati Olgun is working at the Energy Institute of the Marmara Research Center in Tubitak and acts as task member to Task 32. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Karadeniz Technical University. He got his MSc and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University. He has carried out his post-doctorate studies at Newcastle University, Department of Chemical and Process Engineering (UK) on biomass gasification (1998). His experience is based on coal/biomass combustion and gasification systems, renewable energy systems (especially small hydro and solar energy), power systems, energy conservation, optimization and simulation of thermal systems and fuel processing. He has been working as a senior researcher at TUBITAK MRC Energy Institute since 1999, is author of more than 50 publications in journal papers and conference proceedings and has directed several research projects and theses on Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.
